Shivant Jhagroe is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Public Administration. His current research focusses on marginalised and more-than-human actors in policy and politics (e.g. racialised/low-income groups, ecosystems, algorithms).

Shivant Jhagroe is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Public Administration. His current research focusses on marginalised and more-than-human actors in policy and politics (e.g. racialised/low-income groups, ecosystems, algorithms). He is particularly interested in the role of such actors in novel governance arrangements around sustainability and digital technology, focusing on questions of knowledge/power, inequality and justice. With his research he seeks to develop perspectives and strategies towards more sustainable, democratic and just futures. His teaching activities revolve around topics like environmental governance, the energy transition and climate justice.
