Yuan Rong got her B.S. from Beijing Forestry University in 2012, From September, 2012, she became the PhD student in Tianjin University. From 2014-2015, she studied at Politecnico di Milano University, Italy as a visiting PhD student. She joined the Department of Industrial Ecology of Institute of Environmental Science (CML) of Leiden University in September 2016 and is currently undertaking a PhD project on the application of MRIO models to analyze the impact of renewable energy development.
Her research focuses on the Industrial Ecology, regional sustainable development and renewable energy planning, applied with input-output model and econometric analysis. At CML, she will take a CSC-funded PhD-project “Renewable energy development and carbon emissions embodied in China’s exports”, aims to develop multi regional input-output model to investigate the impact of renewable energy expansion on China’s carbon emissions.
