Nikki Mulder is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology of Leiden University. Her research examines moralities of life insurance in the city of New Orleans (USA). This project is part of the ERC funded project Moralising misfortune: A comparative anthropology of commercial insurance. Nikki previously worked as a journalist for newspaper De Ware Tijd in Paramaribo (Suriname). She completed her research master in Cultural Anthropology in 2016 (cum laude, Utrecht University).
Nikki is a member of the editorial board of LOVA Journal, the journal of the Netherlands Association for Gender Studies and Feminist Anthropology.
