Title research: The effect of directives in the area of direct taxation on the interpretation and application of tax treaties concluded by the EU Member states.
Employment
Mees Vergouwen is employed by Leiden University as an assistant professor for one day a week (o,2 fte) as of 1 July 2025. In addition, he works at KPMG Meijburg & Co for four days a week (0,8 fte). Prior to 1 July 2025, Mees Vergouwen worked at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek as a tax advisor besides his activities at Leiden University as an assistant professor and PhD-fellow.
