Matthew Broad is a Lecturer in the History of International Relations at Leiden and a Research Associate in the Centre for International Studies, University of Oxford. He has previously held positions as a Jean Monnet Scholar at the European Studies Centre, University of Pittsburgh, an EU-funded Horizon 2020 Marie Curie Fellow in the Department of Contemporary History and Political Science, University of Turku, a Lecturer in Modern History in the Department of History, University of Reading, and a Lecturer in European History, University of Gloucestershire.

Research

His research focuses on twentieth century international relations encompassing European integration, diplomacy and Anglo-Nordic relations.
