Maria Addens is a Project Leader at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies. She previously worked as a research and education associate at the Centre, as a project and research assistant at Synergy for Justice, and as a (legal) researcher at different institutions. She obtained her LLM degree in Public International Law at Leiden University after being admitted to the bar in Colombia. Her research and management work revolve around international criminal law projects, with emphasis on sexual and gender-based violence as well as conflict-related sexual violence.
