Lotte van den Bosch works in the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law as a lecturer and researcher. In general, she focuses on constitutional law and media law. The legal PhD research Lotte is currently engaged in concerns the role of constitutional narratives in signalling and analysing strong and weak constitutions. That research builds on previous research at the intersection of law and language (systems), a topic Lotte has explored in the context of her literature dissertation in Literary Studies, that she defended last June. The manuscript is entitled 'The Legal Look on Literature. A Reconstruction of Conceptions of Literature among 20th- and 21st-century Dutch Legal Elites' and was written at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität in Oldenburg. The book’s published version is in progress.
At the Faculty of Law, Lotte teaches the subjects “Beginselen van de democratische rechtsstaat” (bachelor 1), “Staatsrecht” (bachelor 2) and “Mediarecht en Informatiesamenleving” (master). She also teaches the subjects “Law, Literature, Culture: Core Concepts” and “Making a Case: Research Project” in the minor Questions of Justice in Law, Literature and the Arts at the Faculty of Humanities.
