Laura Llorente-Rodriguez is Assistant Professor in Archaeozoology and head of the Laboratory for Archaeozoological Studies.

Research
I am interested in the origin and development of the Atlantic and Mediterranean fisheries combining zooarchaeological and biomolecular data to evaluate human and environmental impacts on fish populations as well as ancient trade networks.
In addition, I carry out research in the evolution of morphological variation in both domestic and wild species, paleobiogeography, and transition economies.
Teaching activities
Besides archaeozoology, I am involved in palaeoecological and Quaternary stratigraphical teaching as well as in new biomolecular methodologies applied to bioarchaeology.
