Kyra Verboon obtained the research master's degree "Clinical and Health Psychology" at Leiden University (2022). In September 2022, Kyra started her PhD project at the Department of Clinical Psychology at Leiden University under the supervision of Bernet Elzinga, Marie-Louise Kullberg, Anika Bexkens, Bart Verkuil and Peter Muris (Maastricht University). Kyra focuses on parent-child interaction in children and adolescents who have experienced a traumatic event. In collaboration with GGZ Delfland, she will investigate which specific parental behaviors are associated with adolescent trauma-related symptoms during and after intensive trauma-focused therapy. The PhD project is part of the Gravity project "Communicating networks". Within the framework of the Gravity project, Kyra will also investigate how network models can be used in clinical practice.
