Joop van Holsteijn
Professor Political Behaviour and Research Methods
Joop van Holsteijn (1957) is professor in Political Behaviour and Research Methods. He studied Dutch Language and Literature and Political Science at Leiden University. He teaches on public opinion and political participation, elections and electoral behavior, political psychology and research methods.
His research interests include elections and voting behaviour, public opinion and opinion polling, political cartoons, referendums, and right-wing extremism.
Joop van Holsteijn is available to supervise PhD students and invites PhD research proposals in the areas of:
- elections and electoral behaviour
- opinion polling and public opinion
- right-wing extremism
