Jessica Vergeer works as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
She previously completed her PhD research at Radboud University Nijmegen, focusing on the involvement of and interaction between teachers, parents, and school leaders in the gifted primary and secondary education. This research was part of the large-scale impact study IMAGE (Impact of Activities in Gifted Education; www.imageproject.nl).
During her PhD trajectory, she worked as a researcher and as a teacher in primary (full-time gifted) education. Prior to this, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Pedagogical and Educational Sciences combined with a teacher training program (Academic Teacher Training for Primary Education; ALPO) in Nijmegen and completed a master’s degree in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of York (UK).
