Current research
In my research I look into how archaeological dental calculus preserves chemical and microbial traces of past food practices. My work combines experimental dental calculus models with molecular analysis to detect signals of honey consumption, fire exposure, and fermentation. This research has potential to offer new insights into dietary behaviors and food processing techniques that often leave no visible archaeological trace.

I obtained my BA in Archaeology and Anthropology at University of Oxford and MSc in Archaeological Sciences and Human Evolution (specialization in Geoarchaeology) at the University of Tübingen.
