Research

Franz his research is revolving around the topics of decision-making and learning. He is interested how we update our expectations and adapt our actions in changing environments, and the role that the neurotransmitters dopamine and noradrenaline play in the complex interaction between environment and individual.

To answer his questions about the nature of decision-making and learning he applies diverse methods and approaches including experimental manipulation, psychophysiology (e.g., EEG), pharmacology, non-invasive brain stimulation and computational modeling.

Short CV
