The Slovene dialect of Egg and Potschach in the Gailtal, Austria

A synchronic description of the endangered Slovene dialect spoken in the Gailtal valley in Carinthia, Austria.

The study describes the phonology, morphonology, morphology, syntax and lexicon of the dialect. It also contains a number of dialect texts, infomation about the sociolinguistic situation in the area and about the local toponymy, as well as an excursion into the historical accentology of the dialect.
