Rick Lawson speaks at human rights conference in Moscow
On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, 10 December, an international conference was organized by the Moscow-based Сenter for Constitutional Studies.
It was the third annual conference – and the third time that Rick Lawson participated as one of the speakers. The conference, entitled “Universal Standards of Human Rights and Their Implementation: Constitutionalism and International Justice at the turn of the era”, took place in a hybrid format. Among the speakers were former judges of the European Court of Human Rights and academics, both from Russia and abroad. Rick Lawson spoke about “Protection of judicial independence in the context of the rule of law: Article 6 ECHR and the case of Poland”.
