Rick Lawson moderates guest lecture by UN Special Representative on the Occupied Palestinian Territories
On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, 10 December, a special guest lecture was given by Ms. Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Representative on the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
The event was organized by the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies. In his opening remarks, Rick Lawson emphasized the importance of the lecture, as it gave a most welcome opportunity for the academic community to discuss the horrible escalation of the situation in Gaza and Israel since October 7. Ms. Albanese’s lecture was followed by a conversation with Dr. Giulia Pinzauti of the Grotius Centre and a Q&A session with the audience. Around 150 students and staff members attended the event.
