Wilco van Dijk NIAS-KNAW fellow

Individual researchers are evaluated via an external review process and fellowships are awarded on the basis of the quality and innovative value of the research proposal.

The Impact of Financial Scarcity on Decision-Making

What are the psychological effects of having too little money to make end meets? And how do these affect people’s choices and decisions? These are two questions that the current project tries to answer in its research on the impact of financial scarcity on decision-making.

Exciting interdisciplinary exchanges

Josip Kesic, NIAS’ Head of Academic Affairs: “The high quality, ambitious projects that NIAS fellows work on can particularly benefit from the open academic climate at NIAS, which acts as a catalyst for independent curiosity-driven research. We are sure that many exciting interdisciplinary exchanges will occur and that all our fellows’ research will benefit and flourish.”
