Maartje van der Woude Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley
Professor of Law and Society Maartje van der Woude (Van Vollenhoven Institute) will be visiting scholar at the Center for the Study of Law & Society at the University of California in Berkeley for the next 6 months.
During this period, with the exception of the second block of the first semester, she will actually stay in Berkeley in order to write the first book resulting from her NWO VIDI project "Getting to the Core of Crimmigration". This book will become an interdisciplinary work on European border control and will be published by Routledge. Van der Woude has been a regular visitor to the Center for the Study of Law & Society since she stayed there for a period of nine months in 2008 as part of her PhD research.
