Laura Heitman is awarded the 2018 EFMC runner-up prize for a Young Medicinal Chemist in Academia

Laura Heitman has received the 2018 EFMC (European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry) runner-up prize for a Young Medicinal Chemist in Academia. The EFMC Prizes Ceremony took place during the XXV EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC-ISMC 2018), on September 2-6, 2018 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This year’s winner (Alexander Titz) was invited to give an Oral Communication during the Symposium. The runners-up were called on stage to receive a diploma.

“The EFMC Prize for a Young Medicinal Chemist in Academia” was initiated to acknowledge and recognize an outstanding young medicinal chemist (≤ 12 years after PhD) working in academia within Europe. The Prize is given annually and consists of a diploma, € 1.000 and an invitation for a short presentation at an EFMC symposium. Two nominees (runners-up) will also be identified and acknowledged.
