Rubicon grant for Evin Aktar
The NWO has awarded Evin Aktar a Rubicon grant. From September, she will start a 12-month period of research at the Cognitive Affect and Temperament Lab at Penn-State University, USA.
Verbal Transmission of Stranger Anxiety from Parents to Children
Parents may transmit anxiety by verbally communicating anxiety to children about novel people/situations. In this project she will investigate how parents’ verbal information influences children’s physiology, cognition, and behavior in social situations, and explore the role of child temperament.
