2010 Gabina Aurora Pérez building Oaxaca
Gabina Aurora Pérez, Mixtec investigator and defender of rights of indigenous peoples, who is working at the Faculty of Archaeology, Leiden University (The Netherlands), was honored by the Government of the State of Oaxaca, Mexico, as her name was given to one ofthe modern buildings in the ' Ciudad Judicial ', a new administrative center near Oaxaca City.
The Ciudad Judicial was inaugurated by the State governor on May 13, 2010 ,in the presence of many state officials and approximately 5000 people. Some 2000 employees will be working in this new administrative complex.
The supervising architect of the compound is José Manuel Rodríguez Cid.
