Daniel Schade on Deutschland Heute: 'Border controls weaken Schengen'

Assistant Professor of European Studies and International Relations Daniel Schade was a guest on Deutschland Heute on Deutschlandfunk.

He argues that persistent border controls undermine the Schengen area, and EU member states are simply accepting it. ‘Bulgaria trusted Romania enough to join together – now they’re imposing border controls again.’
