Language Learning Resource Centre

About

Leiden University has a strong tradition in language teaching, in various settings: for instance in the BA and MA language and culture programmes, area studies programmes, international studies, minors and electives. Currently, 20 different languages are taught throughout different institutes and programmes.

The seed for the LLRC was planted in November 2014 as the Foreign Language Pedagogy Network. As a ‘community of practice,’ FLPN brought together language teaching professionals across Leiden University to share concerns and ideas on improving teaching in various programmes. The idea grew from sharing ideas to sharing resources, and the LLRC was born in 2017. The LLRC unites all language teaching professionals working at Leiden University: teachers and researchers at the LUCL, ATC, LUCAS, LIAS, and ICLON.
