Max Czollek (Berlin) in conversation with Rebekka Grossmann (Leiden University)
Max Czollek is a German writer, activist and curator. He has initiated and co-curated different social and literary projects such as the Coalition for a Pluralistic Public Discourse, a network for a contemporary pluralistic memory culture in the German speaking sphere and, most recently, the Heimaten Festival for Plural Democracy. He is the author of De-Integrate: A Jewish Survival Guide for the 21st Century (Brooklyn: Restless Books, 2023). Most recently he published Alles auf Anfang: Auf der Suche nach einer neuen Erinnerungskultur (Frankfurt: Fischer, 2025), together with Hadija Haruna-Oelker.
