Opening Exposome-Scan research facility

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the official opening of the Exposome-Scan research facility. The event will take place on Thursday 15 February from 15:00-18:00 hrs at the Gorlaeus Laboratories at Leiden University (room GM4.13).

The Exposome-Scan research team has build a unique and large-scale open facility for research into the so-called exposome. The facility will offer services to academic, clinical and industrial researchers from all over the Netherlands and focuses on two types of research:

  1. Life-Scan: studies in which we can measure thousands of chemical substances and nutrients in blood and urine on a large scale;
  2. Live-Scan: uncovering the underlying mechanisms, using computer simulations, as well as organs-on-chips: mini-organs that mimic the conditions in a person's body.

Exposome-Scan has three types of offerings: MS assays, in-vitro assays and data services.

Programme at a glance
During the opening event we will briefly reflect on the origins of the work and explore the services in further detail. A number of 'users' will briefly share their experiences. We will conclude with a guided tour and drinks.

Please put this event in your calendar and kindly RSVP by 8 February to confirm your attendance. We are looking forward to meeting you in Leiden!
