On 7 July, His Excellency Kgalema Motlanthe, former president of South Africa, will give a public lecture at Leiden University. The lecture will start at 10:30 and will end with a Q&A session. The title of the lecture is: Africa’s Development: Transformation Through Industrialization.

Mr Motlanthe is the Patron of the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation, which was established in 2014. The Foundation's mission is to contribute to equitable and inclusive growth in South Africa and the African continent. It does so by facilitating sustainable access and programmes for beneficiaries in: dialogue, youth, education, community development, and social cohesion.
