The LUCAS PhD Council is thrilled to invite you to the LUCAS symposium, which will take place on 22nd of May in Lipsius 2.27. This symposium will provide an excellent opportunity for our PhD candidates to present their research to their peers and engage in a thought-provoking discussion regarding their work-in-progress.  This symposium is very much geared to bring light to developing investigations. It's an opportunity to learn from and support one another.

After the symposium, we will have post-symposium drinks, where attendees can mingle and continue the conversation with their colleagues.

We invite you to submit abstracts with a maximum of 200 words to the email address: phdcouncillucas@hum.leidenuniv.nl with the email subject "LUCAS PhD Council Symposium" by 12th of May.

Participants will be paired with two other PhDs with similar research interests in panels before the day of the symposium. On the day of the symposium, they will have around 10-minutes to present their research, followed by a 15-minute Q&A panel discussion.

This event is an opportunity to engage with exciting new research and to contribute to the academic discourse. It's also an excellent chance to meet and network with other researchers in your field.

The LUCAS PhD Council encourages all faculty members, researchers, and students with an interest in the fields of humanities and social sciences to attend this symposium.

Please RSVP by the 15th of May to confirm your attendance. We look forward to seeing you there.

The LUCAS PhD Council consists of Miguel Mira, Clodagh Murphy, Nick Tomberge and Fernanda Korovksy Moura.
