Human-AI Prompt Smithing with DH Minor students
For the last class of the 'Hacking The Humanities' Introduction to Python (12 Dec in the Digital Lab), we set up an event where students got a chance to interact with state-of-the-art image generation (diffusion) models.
Students had to interact with the code and, in groups, produce a prompt that revolved around the theme 'the humanities in the digital world' and a discussion around the issues of Human-AI generated 'art'.
The winning prompt was
'a robot writing a text with a pen, by van Gogh, epic composition',
which produced the following generation:
