• If you need a visa or residence permit, you must apply for admission before 1 April. The same deadline applies to students who already have a Dutch residence permit for study purposes and need to extend it.

• If you do not need a visa or residence permit, you must apply for admission before 15 November.

• Students who have a LL.B. (Bachelor’s degree) in Law from Leiden University before the starting date in September, the deadline is 31 August*
• Students who have a LL.B. (Bachelor’s degree) in Law from Leiden University before the starting date in February, the deadline is 31 January*

*We strongly recommend current Bachelor Law students from Leiden University to apply in Studielink no later than 1^st of January / 1^st of August in order to register for (master) seminars and lectures in time.

The subtrack Governance of Migration and Diversity only starts in September. Applying is possible as of 1 October. Check the application deadlines above 'starting in September'.

Note: you cannot apply separately for the specialisation ‘GMD-Legal’, as this track is officially a subtrack of the European law specialization.

We strongly recommend Bachelor Law students from Leiden University interested in GMD, to apply in Studielink no later than 1^st of July.
