Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science

The Creative Intelligence & Technology master's programme (previously Media Technology) of Leiden University is organised by the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS). LIACS focusses on research and education in computer science at Leiden University, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence. The Creative Intelligence & Technology (previously Media Technology) master's programme is an interdiscplinary programme that builds upon LIACS’ expertise while extending it in interdisciplinary directions.

Collaborations

LIACS works closely together with universities worldwide, companies, governments, and NGOs. Within Leiden University it collaborates closely with other faculties and institutes. An example is the interdisciplinary programme on Society, Artificial Intelligence and Life Sciences (SAILS).

Besides the many collaborations and exchange possibilities for all students at Leiden University, the Creative Intelligence & Technology MSc programme has specific collaborations and exchange programmes with amongst others the KTH in Stockholm. More information about studying abroad is available via the programme coordinator.

Over the years, the Creative Intelligence & Technology MSc programme partnered on many public presentations and exhibitions with the V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media, an interdisciplinary and inspiring center for art and technology in Rotterdam.

Leonardo Affiliate Programme

The Creative Intelligence & Technology MSc programme is a member of the Leonardo Affiliate Programme. Leonardo is the International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology (ISAST). Leonardo/ISAST serves the international arts community by promoting and documenting work at the intersection of the arts, sciences, and technology, and by encouraging and stimulating collaboration between artists, scientists, and technologists. Faculty of Science

The Leiden University Faculty of Science is a first-class research faculty with an excellent position in the fundamental disciplines of science.
