Astronomy and Cosmology (MSc)

Programme structure

You have ample opportunity to assemble your own study path in Cosmology. The courses cover the full spectrum from theoretical early universe to observational cosmology.

Programme outline

The Astronomy and Cosmology master’s curriculum consists of one year of course work, and two significantly different research projects supervised by different staff members, together also covering one year. The First Research Project in General Astronomy will typically start early in the first year. You conduct your Master’s Research Project on Cosmology concluded by the master’s thesis during the second year. Courses and research projects run simultaneously. This way, you can directly apply your experience and knowledge from research in courses and vice versa.
