Yung-Ting Tsou is an assistant professor at Early Childhood Education, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. She is also a guest researcher in the unit Developmental and Educational Psychology of the Institute of Psychology at Leiden University.
Yung-Ting received her master degree in Linguistics (Leiden University), and afterwards worked as a researcher at Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. In 2020, she obtained her PhD in Developmental Psychology, Leiden University, and continued working there as a postdoctoral researcher, within the Focus on Emotions Lab. Since August 2024, she becomes an assistant professor at Early Childhood Education, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, while still actively involved in the NWA-funded project Building 4 Belonging.
Research
Yung-Ting's research centers around children’s social participation and inclusion in school settings, emphasizing children's individual motivations and needs. She uses a multi-method approach that includes eye tracking, psychophysiological measures, observations, questionnaires, and wearable sensor technology, to understand how children with diverse needs navigate and interact with their daily environments.
