Uta Wehn is a professor by special appointment of the chair ‘ Citizen Science and Sustainability’.
Uta Wehn is a professor by special appointment of the chair ‘ Citizen Science and Sustainability’. This chair was established as part of wider cooperation between CWTS and IHE Delft. Wehn’s research analyses and aims to expand the role of citizen science in catalysing change toward sustainability. It aims to understand the behavioural dynamics of stakeholder collaborations and new constellations in data and knowledge co-creation across science, society and policy, and how these are linked with transparent and democratic governance of natural resources and ecosystems. This contributes to a more nuanced understanding of the dynamics and challenges of leveraging different forms of citizen science for sustainable practices. Wehn also works as Professor Citizen Science and Sustainability at IHE Delft where she leads Action Research in Europe and the Global South.
