Dr. Toghrul Guluzada holds an LL.M. from Ghent University and a Ph.D. in Corporate Law and International Investment Law from Leiden University. Since June 2026, he has served as a Guest Lecturer at the Department of Company Law and Financial Law, Leiden Law School.
He is the Chief Legal Officer at Azerbaijan Transport and Communications Holding (AZCON Holding), where he specializes in corporate law, with particular expertise in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and corporate sustainability, as well as international investment law and international arbitration.
Dr. Guluzada obtained his Ph.D. from Leiden University in March 2026. His doctoral research examined shareholder claims for reflective loss in company law, international investment law, and investment arbitration. During his doctoral studies, he served as a Visiting Researcher at UNCITRAL, supporting the work of Working Group III on Investor–State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) Reform.
Dr. Guluzada also teaches at ADA Law School in Azerbaijan.He is a member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Dr. Guluzada is fluent in Azerbaijani, English, French, Russian, and Turkish.
