Tamar de Corte is a dual PhD candidate at Leiden University Dual PhD Centre. Working title thesis: 'Participation in urban development'.

Tamar de Corte studied Cultural Economics and Public Administration at Erasmus University. In 2011 she graduated in Public Management on legal forms for culturally entrepreneurial organisations. In 2012 she published an article on this subject in Public Administration. Since then Tamar has conducted independent research into the quality of life in neighbourhoods and cultural participation and has worked as a fundraiser and project leader. In 2016, she joined the municipality of The Hague as a business economist and since 2017, Tamar has worked as a researcher at the Urban Development Department. She mainly conducts qualitative research for Policy Departments Economics, Housing and Mobility.

She is also working on a dual doctoral research project. The research is about participation in urban development.
