Professional experience

Surendra obtained both his BSc (Biology) and MSc (Biodiversity & Sustainability) degrees at Leiden University. He specializes in ecology and data science, having done research projects as a student that focused on eDNA detection of arthropods, analyzing the effects of anthropogenic activities on dragonflies and the population dynamic modelling of mosquitoes.
He started as a PhD candidate at the department of Environmental Biology in May 2021.
