Rik Schalbroeck researches the role of the brain and social stress factors in the development of psychosis, including in young adults with autism. In his studies, he employs psychological, epidemiological, and neuroimaging methods. Through this work, he aims to contribute to new strategies for the early detection of mental health issues. Additionally, he seeks to pave the way for improved preventive interventions and a more personalised approach to care.
