Peter Castenmiller is a guest lecturer at the Institute of Political Science.
Peter Castenmiller works at PBLQ, a consultancy firm for innovations in the public domain. Here he acts, among other things, as a project leader, as a researcher and consultant. Previously, Castenmiller worked at SGBO, the research and advisory department of the Association of Dutch Municipalities, and at the Social and Cultural Planning Office.
Castenmiller studied political science at the University of Amsterdam and obtained his PhD there on a dissertation on political involvement of citizens in local government. He regularly publishes on developments in decentralised government, on the positioning and functioning of decentralised courts of audit and on quality improvement of the local government. Castenmiller has been a member of the Dutch Electoral Council since 2013.
