Paula de Graaf (M.Sc.) is a PhD Student at the division of Medical Chemistry
I obtained my MSc in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences from Leiden University in 2025. During my master's, my first research internship was at the Division of Medicinal Chemistry of the LACDR, where I worked on the design and synthesis of PROTACs targeting G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). I then joined the medicinal chemistry department at Symeres in Nijmegen, where I designed and synthesised novel scaffolds within the Symegold project.
In January 2026 I started my PhD at the Division of Medicinal Chemistry, under the supervision of Prof. dr. Laura Heitman and Dr. Daan van der Es. My project focuses on automated synthetic methodologies for GPCR ligands, using solid-phase organic synthesis and continuous flow chemistry. Alongside my research, I supervise master and bachelor students during their research projects.
