Naya Pessoa JD is an Education and Research Officer in the Diplomacy and Global Affairs Research Group. Ms. Pessoa focuses on the Advanced Masters of Science in International Relations and Diplomacy in cooperation with Clingendael Institute and the Political Science Department of Leiden University. She serves as the primary point of contact for Professors/Assistant Professors, and as part of the Thesis trajectory, she coordinates Thesis Supervisors/Second Readers. She also serves as the Secretary to the Education Committee (OLC).

Ms. Pessoa specialises in International Law, Human Rights, Philanthropy, and Indigenous Rights. She previously worked on high-profile International Disputes and Diplomatic Activities in the 'Permanent Court of Arbitration', the founding institution of the Peace Palace in The Hague. She offers special insight into the Latin American region and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Given her legal expertise, she also provides lectures in the International Law course. She has academic experiences worldwide: juris doctorate (USA), cum laude bachelor of arts in Political Science and Spanish (USA), as well as studies in the Universidad de Guanajuato (MEX) and Leiden University (NL).
