Since January 1, 2023, Mike has been affiliated with the Institute for Private Law as a student assistant at the Department of Youth Law and Health Law.

Mike Sikkink studies law (LLM Health Law, LLM Private Law, and LLM Notarial Law) in Amsterdam and Leiden. He has now successfully completed the Health Law master's program. During his studies, he interned at the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate and, for his master's dissertation in Health Law, at the Health Council. He also spent time on exchange at the University of Edinburgh.

At the moment, he works as a student assistant at the Department of Youth Law and Health Law, mainly supporting Prof. Mirjam Sombroek van Doorm. He helps with research within the department, teaching, and conducting independent research.
