Professor of Radio techniques in astronomy
Michael Garrett is a Professor of Radio Techniques in Astronomy at Leiden University and Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing of the University of Swinburne.
Michael Garrett obtained his PhD at the University of Manchester. He became director of the Joint Institute for VLBI in Europe and is currently the General&Scientific Director of ASTRON. In September 2016 he will become the inaugural SirBernard Lovell Chair of Astrophysics and the Director of Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics.
