More information about Melvin Tjon Akon

Melvin has obtained a Master of Science in Finance and Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management, a Master of Laws (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam and a Master of Laws from the University of Chicago. Prior to his current role as a senior knowledge development lawyer for a global law firm, he worked as a regulatory affairs officer at a securities exchange, a debt finance lawyer, judicial extern and research assistant.

Melvin’s research area is financial regulation. His dissertation is on the law and economics of algorithmic personalised pricing in consumer credit markets.
