Marco works as an inspector at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration, specialising in VAT and Real Estate Transfer Tax. Earlier on in his career, he held positions at tax advisory firms and Policy Advisor roles within the Dutch Ministry of Finance. Marco regularly contributes to academic tax journals and books. As an external PhD student at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, he is currently researching the impact of indirect taxation on insurance policies (VAT and insurance premium tax).
