Marc joined CML as a PhD candidate at the end of 2020 at the department of Industrial Ecology and works to find out the environmental impacts of future building recycling technologies.
Marc spent part of his master degree in Industrial Ecology working on the development of the open source user interface 'Activity Browser' for the LCA software 'Brightway2'. During his master thesis project, he developed future scenarios of the environmental impacts of cobalt production with the help of Brightway2, graduating Cum Laude.
Marc now focuses on using his skills in investigating the future environmental impacts of circular recycling technologies for concrete and wood in the Horizon2020 Iceberg project. Besides this, he works on furthering the LCA research field.
