Lin Zhang is a full professor of Quantitative Science Studies and Research Policy, and director of the Evaluation Reform Center at Wuhan University. She is Editor-in-Chief of Scientometrics.
I am a full professor in the Department of Information Management at Wuhan University, where I also serve as the director of the Evaluation Reform Center. In addition, I am a guest professor at the Center for R&D Monitoring (ECOOM) at KU Leuven in Belgium and a visiting professor at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University in the Netherlands. I also serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Scientometrics. My research focuses on bibliometrics, research evaluation, and research policy. I am a board member of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI), a member of the board of directors of the Chinese Association for Science of Science and Science & Technology Policy (CASSSP), and the director of the international cooperation committee of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology Information. As Principal Investigator, I have led six national projects funded by the National Science Foundation of China on quantitative science studies and research policy, and directed six commissioned projects by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China to advance research assessment reform.
