Lesley Reid is a PhD Candidate at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs of Leiden University (The Hague). Her research focuses on international organisations, in particular the role and influence of small states.

She has a MA (Hons) in Interpreting and Translation (French and Spanish) from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, and an MA in International Relations from Nottingham Trent University. 
She has worked in her national Ministry of Defence and in international organisations, and has taught English at the University of South Brittany and the Catholic University of Lille in France.
