Kerkkänen is working as a research staff member at the Section Health, Medical & Neuropsychology at Leiden University. She completed a Research Master degree in Psychology with a focus on Cognitive Neuroscience at Leiden University. Currently, she is finalising her second master's degree in Clinical Neuropsychology.
