Professional experience

Jie received her master's degree in Zoology at Lanzhou University in 2022. At Lanzhou university, Jie focused on the parental consumption of nestlings’ feces in grey-backed shrikes, and she found probiotics and beneficial metabolites in the feces of nestlings may influence the parental consumption behaviour.

Jie started as a PhD candidate at the Environmental Biology department of CML in September 2022.

Research topic

Jie’s research focuses on how the diversity of the birds responds to the environmental heterogeneity cross scales.
