More information about Jiaxin Zhang

Professional experience

Jiaxin received her undergraduate degree in Environmental Ecological Engineering at East China Normal University in 2019 where for her final thesis she compared six indexes describing species roles, simulating extinction cascade effects by using Topological Coextinction Model and Stochastic Coextinction Model in 45 pollination networks, to find the best index reflecting the impact of extinction cascade on the functional niche of species in pollination networks.

Later in 2022, Jiaxin received her master degree in Ecology at East China Normal University. During that period, Jiaxin supplemented her work about her bachelor thesis. She used one new method and one common method to identify the best index in pollination networks. Additionally, she applied the index to identify keystone species in East Asia.

Jiaxin started as a PhD candidate at the Environmental Biology department of CML in September 2022.

Research topic

Jiaxin’s research is focus on pollination networks by environmental DNA (eDNA).
